1st Annual United Way Human Truck Pull Results Announced

   

ANDERSON, Ind. – The inaugural United Way Human Truck Pull, presented by Carter Express, raised over $10,500 last Saturday at the Anderson Municipal Airport. 20 teams comprised of nearly 230 pullers from across the community along with over 60 volunteers pulled together to make the day a great success.

   

The 2014 Inaugural United Way Human Truck Pull champions are:

 

Fastest Team– Community STRONG (Community Hospital)

 

Men’s Fastest Team – Hoosier Champions (Hoosier Park)

 

Co-Ed Fastest Team – Community STRONG (Community Hospital)

 

Most Team Spirit – Community STRONG (Community Hospital)

 

Most Money Raised – The Motley Machine

 

 

Proceeds from the Human Truck Pull will support United Way of Madison County’s THRIVE efforts. Madison County THRIVE is a county-wide community cause that supports hard-working, lower income families in their own efforts to achieve what every family wants and needs to THRIVE:

 

            • Good jobs with good wages

 

            • Financial stability

 

            • Success for their children

            • Birth to Kindergarten supports that reach families and child care providers

 

            • Employment training, financial skills, micro loans and more to build financial futures
